Hello, my fellow photographers! Are you looking to add some wedding photos to your portfolio? Then you’re going to want to keep reading! For the first time ever, Lavishly Lux Studio is hosting a styled shoot. We’ve been working tirelessly to put together a gorgeous shoot that the wedding photography community in Dallas and beyond can take advantage of – and I think we’ve achieved just that! If you aren’t convinced, scroll down and check out my moodboard below. Entitled “Summer Blues,” our upcoming styled shoot is light, ethereal, and vintage all at once. It is the perfect combination of summer (my favorite season) and Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year, blue! Keep reading to learn more about what I have in store for my Summer Blues styled shoot.

 

First, this is an elopement styled shoot. Why an elopement? On a personal level, elopements are so much fun to shoot. They’re intimate, low key, and usually heart-achingly romantic. But beyond my personal love of elopements, they also happen to be super trendy right now. For a variety of reasons, one of which being the current pandemic we’re all living through, opting for smaller celebrations of love in the form of eloping has taken off. With this styled shoot, I want to show couples that eloping doesn’t always have to be you and your partner at city hall or in Vegas. You can still plan a beautiful and special ceremony, even if you choose to invite only a handful of guests. 

 

Moving on! The shoot will be hosted at the all-white blank canvas venue, The Landry. The Landry is one of my fav locations in Dallas. It’s bright and modern, but is also a totally blank slate given that it is white from top to bottom (I’m serious, the walls, ceilings, and floors of The Landry are white). Having a white background is a surefire way to guarantee pretty photos.

 

Finally, we’re going all out for this Summer Blues shoot (when I do something, I really do it!). That is why not only will the shoot have a styled tablescape set up (a must), it will also feature plenty of other photograph-worthy elements. This includes an invitation suite, faux wedding cakes, a bridal bouquet, a styled altar or ceremony set up, a styled dessert, candy, and cocktail bar, detailed shots of rings, shoes, and styling accessories, and last but not least, three professional models, all of whom will be rocking stunning bridal attire. Seriously, we’ve got you covered! No matter what kind of wedding photos you’re looking to add to your portfolio, you’ll be able to take them at Lavishly Lux Studio’s Summer Blues styled shoot.
