Five Insta-Worthy Cocktails for Your Wedding

by - February 21, 2020

Rule number one for your wedding – the day should be all about YOU as a couple. One way to add a signature element to your reception is to break out your mixology skills with a signature cocktail. Bring in The Lazy Gourmet, a catering company with over 40 years of experience creating, planning and executing food and beverage programs. “We’d recommend choosing one cocktail that is sweeter and one that is stiffer to accommodate different tastes,” shares The Lazy Gourmet team. Want to really personalize the experience? “You can also include tasting notes on accompanying signs or even print off recipe cards for your guests to take home!”

Looking for signature cocktails that will have all of your guests swooning? Here are five Insta-Worthy drinks, courtesy of The Lazy Gourmet!

Cocoa Hopper

1 oz Peppermint Pastille
1 oz Small Batch Chocolate Vodka
2 oz Avalon Cereal Cream

First, rim a tall champagne flute with hot chocolate powder. In a shaker combine ice and all ingredients, then shake for 20 seconds. Strain it into a glass and top with a mint sprig.

The Rumba
1 oz Bumbu Rum
1 ½ oz Rumchata
2 oz Cold Brew

Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake. Strain in a cocktail glass and top with chocolate shavings, dehydrated banana and a cinnamon stick.

Black Forest Sour

2 oz Sour Cherry Gin
1 oz Orgeat
1 oz Amareena Cherry Syrup
½ Lemon, juiced
1 Egg White

Combine all ingredients into a shaker and shake for 30 seconds. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a coupe cocktail glass and garnish with two amareena cherries.

Yule Mule
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Crème de Cassis
3 oz Mint-Infused Ginger beer

In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients and stir. Pour mixture into a mule or cocktail glass, then garnish with fresh cranberries and mint.

The Suburban

2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Honey, Pear and Sage Simple Syrup
2 – 3 dashes of Moondog Bitters

In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients and stir with ice for 30 seconds. Next strain into an old fashioned glass with a king cube and garnish the cocktail with pear and sage.
