Anagha+Ashish: Marathi-Punjabi Fusion Wedding at The O Hotel Pune!

by - March 12, 2020

Anagha and Ashish  met in Maryland in 2015 and instantly hit it off. After a couple of years of dating, on a crisp Chicago night in March of 2018, Ashish proposed to Anagha at the iconic Millenium Park. Check out their Marathi-Punjabi celebration that took place at The O Hotel Pune!

Our Proposal

Ashish and I left for what I thought was my birthday celebration. We walked through the iconic Millennium Park in Chicago with a photographer at our heels capturing my “birthday shoot”. Little did I know that she would be capturing the prettiest moments of my life! As we got to the bridge overlooking the Park and the city, I saw our friends waiting around a beautiful setup, probably freezing in the cold! We walked through this “memory lane” of pictures and at the end of it he asked me if I’d like to spend the rest of my life with him; with the most gorgeous ring in hand and the Chicago skyline as a backdrop! I didn’t even have to think twice before saying yes to the man who respects me for who I am, encourages me to achieve greatness, and loves me with all his heart!

After an intimate mehendi event, it was time to welcome my new Punjabi family to my hometown! And what better way to do it than to host a fun and dance-filled evening where everyone could let loose and get to know each other better!

This was one of the most emotional days of my life. Ashish and I realized the powerful bond of love we’re lucky to be surrounded by. For my bridal look, I wanted to go classic while amalgamating the two cultures. The beautiful red saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee helped me achieve that dream!

This was the last hurrah to end the wedding festivities with, and what a glamorous one at that! After dressing up as a traditional Marathi bride for the wedding day, I wanted to stay on theme and be a traditional Punjabi bride at the reception.
Here’s wishing the beautiful couple a very happy married life ahead!  Submit your wedding pics to us for publication on our blog and social media!!! Email them to dipa@weddingsonline.in
