Take Professional Photos On Your Honeymoon – Happy Flashbacks share tips from their Turkey trip
The dream team of Photographers – Anish Bhatia and Noopur Mishra, of WeddingSutra Favorite – Happy Flashbacks, recently travelled to Turkey for a romantic getaway and captured all their beautiful moments and panoramic landscapes themselves which can be seen on their travel page 2 Happy Passports. From clicking each pictures to setting their camera on a tripod with a self-timer and a remote, the couple share their experience for others, especially honeymooners, who are bitten by the travel bug and want to make and capture happy memories in Turkey.
What’s in their camera bag?
The Happy Flashbacks duo shares, “The key to a perfect self-portrait is investing in a professional camera with a sharp lens and self-timer setting, a remote, and a tripod stand. In this technologically advanced era, most of the professional cameras in the market will not burn a hole in your pocket, and at the same time, they come with special features that will help you take better pictures of your travels. Sharp lenses that are lightweight are also easily available. Do not invest in an expensive tripod; instead, pick a foldable one that is light in weight for you to easily keep in your handbag or backpack.”
How to capture a wider frame and lock the focus to avoid blurry pictures?
Happy Flashbacks shares some insights saying, “To catch a wider frame, you need to have a wide lens. Ideally, a focal length between 16mm- 35mm can work really well. When it comes to locking focus while clicking a picture, shooting on a manual mode is the key. Usually setting focus is easier when you are travelling with your partner where one can be the subject, and the other can fix the manual settings on the eye to ensure its sharpness.”
What are some of the must-dos in Turkey for honeymooners?
Anish says, “Turkey is a honeymooners paradise as it offers unique architecture, spectacular landscapes, and a mix of cultures. It does not just have picturesque backdrops that are ideal for photos, but also provides an entire package of offbeat activities and delectable cuisines. Explore Turkish culture by walking through quaint lanes, treat yourself to finger-licking Turkish food and tea, walk on the beaches and across the Old Harbour in Antalya, cruise calmly over the Bosphorus, and on your last day, visit the Turkish Bath (Hammam) to rejuvenate yourselves.”
Which places and experiences were the highlights of their trip?
Noopur shares, “Riding in a hot air balloon was on the top of our bucket list. Cappadocia is one of the world’s top destinations for this adventurous experience. Rising above the natural rock formations in a sea of colourful balloons was certainly the highlight of our trip, and something that we will remember for a lifetime. A walking tour in Istanbul was our favorite! This is where layers of history unfold before you as you explore the city. Antalya, the resort city, is filled with yachts and fancy hotels surrounding the Old Harbour and its beautiful beaches, reminded us of Mykonos island in Greece.”
Anish adds, “The view of Cappadocia’s landscape from a hot air balloon is mesmerizing, and so is its beauty when you are up close and personal with the region’s valley. We went hiking through the fairy chimneys or the ‘Love Valley’ as people call it. If you are in Cappadocia, you have to book a cave hotel for the ultimate experience. The hotels in the town of Goreme are luxurious.”
